Greetings of the day.
I am writing this email with the intention of exploring the possibility of joining your team. I am Dr. Akula Suryanarayana Murthy, worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Soonchunhyang University, Asan, South Korea. I completed my Ph.D. from Soonchunhyang University, Asan, South Korea, with the thesis entitled “Targeting Toward Mitochondria Using Guanidinium-rich Molecular Transporters; Synthesis and Cellular Uptake Properties of New Molecular Transporters Having Creatine Moieties.” Currently, I am working in bioorganic and medicinal chemistry, synthesizing bioorthogonal catalysts using molecular transporters, anti-cancer drugs, and drug-like compounds.

I collaborated in organic and medicinal chemistry, cell-penetrating peptides, CCR5 inhibitors incorporated with selenoids and sulfur compounds, and made seleno-carbonyl and thiocarbonyl molecules to make drugs for anticancer activity. I have experience synthesizing PRMT5 inhibitors, IDO inhibitors, and glycoscience, and I made molecular transporters on sugar molecules such as sorbitol and trehalose to deliver antioxidants to cancer cells, which is reasonably related to the lab requirements.
Over my 6 years of research experience in organic synthesis, including postdoctoral (3.0 years) and industrial experience (~3 years), I have developed a broad knowledge of reaction mechanisms and handling a variety of reagents. I am also well-versed in the characterization of organic compounds by employing spectroscopic techniques, i.e., IR, 1H &13C NMR, GC-MS, ESI-MS, HRMS, HPLC, GPC, Glove Box, etc. Importantly, I have honed my communication skills and am confident working independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
